Privacy policy

Short version: the calculators run in your browser, we never receive the numbers you type, and we do not sell anything about you.

1. What we collect

Calculator inputs: never. Every calculation on this site is performed by JavaScript running on your own device. The values you enter — income, weight, dates, medical figures — are not transmitted to us, not logged and not stored. This is a technical fact, not a policy promise: there is no endpoint that receives them.

Server logs. Our web server records the page requested, the time, the referring page, a truncated IP address and your browser's user-agent string. These logs exist to keep the site running and to detect abuse, and are deleted after 30 days.

Contact form. If you write to us we store the name, email address, subject and message you send, plus a one-way hash of your IP address used purely for rate limiting. We keep messages for as long as needed to resolve the matter, and no longer than 24 months.

2. Cookies

The site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. A single session cookie is created only when you submit the contact form, to protect against cross-site request forgery. It expires when you close the browser.

3. Analytics and third parties

We use privacy-respecting, cookie-free aggregate analytics to count page views. It records no personal identifiers and cannot follow you across sites. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, session recorders or social widgets. No third party receives your calculator inputs, because those never leave your device.

4. Embedded widgets

If you embed one of our calculators on your own site, the widget behaves the same way: it calculates locally, sets no cookies and sends us nothing but the ordinary request for the widget page itself.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you, and you may object to processing. In practice the only personal data we are likely to hold is a contact-form message. Write to hello@samsungcalculator.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell personal information, and we have no personal information to sell.

6. Children

The site is a general-audience reference and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Data transfers and security

The site is served over HTTPS. Our servers may be located outside your country; because we hold almost no personal data, transfer risk is minimal. Contact-form data is stored in an access-controlled database.

8. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be posted here with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
