Unit converters

Convert any unit, exactly

1,025 converters, one page per conversion, because that is how people search. Every page shows the exact factor, a table of the values looked up most often, and a definition of both units.

Why one page per conversion?

A single converter with two dropdowns is quicker to build and worse to use. It cannot answer the question you typed, it cannot show you the factor for the pair you care about, and it cannot carry a table of the values you were probably about to look up next. Each page here does all three.

Conversions between units of the same quantity are exact by international definition — an inch has been exactly 25.4 mm since 1959 — so the only rounding you will ever see is in the display. Conversions that cross between volume and weight are different: they depend on what the material is, which is why those tools ask.

Looking for something that models a situation rather than converting a unit? That belongs in the calculator section.
